| No hit on the buoys! | |
| On December 19, 2005, we noticed that the Niihama-Higashi-Kouro No.2 buoy had been hit and damaged. The buoy is located at
the point in Hiuchi-Nada about 15kms to the northeast of Niihama Port.
We have asked coast guard offices all over Japan to find the ship which hit the buoy and report us. At the same time, we also try to find that ship by the patrol vessels of Imabari Coast Guard Office. As you know, aids to navigation like buoys are important markers and facilities for the ships to navigate safely. So, keep a sharp lookout and do not have accidents. In 2005, we had three cases that ships hit the aids to navigation under our control. Coast Guard Officers investigate the situation of the accident as shown right. |
